Working hard or hardly working?

So here it is. Those who follow me on instagram will probably recognize this picture. This is one of the first dogs I was actually able to just do what I wanted on him.

He was a stray that someone had found and rescued, and desperately searching for somewhere to get him cleaned up the woman brought him to us. He was in terrible shape.  He stunk to high heaven, he was covered in mud, and had burs covering literally every inch of him, and not to mention he was severely matted.

After giving him two baths, while picking off as many burs as I could, I finally get him done and take him to a grooming table. My boss gives me the go ahead, do whatever I want and go as short as a need to. Since he had been in such rough shape, I did have to go pretty short. I did give him a little of a schnauzer face though, because he did look like one.

He left feeling much better than he did when he came in and looked super cute to boot. I love this job. I love getting to make an animal feel much better after they leave. Though they don't always like the process, you can  see it in their faces and how much they are ready to play and do things after they are done.

I may get scratched, and bit, and pooped on, and the dogs can be terrible and frustrating, but I really do love this job.
